The Book of Jonah by Nico Chocheli is a challenging but compelling version of the Biblical tale. The gorgeous illustrations inspire a sense of wonder appropriate to the grand scale of the story. Despite the difficulty of the language and the length of the text, I find that it not only captures the imagination of my three-year-old but challenges me as well.
